Operations Manager 
Michiana Catholic Radio Station

Redeemer Radio, a non-profit, Catholic Radio Group is seeking a full-time Operations Manager for its new listener supported Catholic Radio Station coming to Michiana on 95.7 FM. The Operations Manager will lead staff and volunteers to build a first class local Catholic Radio station including strong involvement with area parishes, the diocese, and the greater Michiana Catholic community.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage staff and volunteers, introducing a quality Catholic Radio station on-air and in the community
  • Instill and maintain a strong Catholic faith atmosphere amongst staff, volunteers and donors
  • Develop and enhance funding sources for both operational and capital needs while ensuring budget attainment in both revenue and expenses
  • In conjunction with the Community Relations Director and Executive Director develop:
    • Quality local Michiana area program content
    • Strong relationships with area Catholic parishes and apostolates

Requirements Include:

  • Practicing Catholic in full communion with the church
  • Four-year Bachelors degree in an aligned field of study
  • Demonstrated volunteer experience in parish and Catholic environment with a good network of readily established contacts in the greater South Bend area
  • Broadcasting experience a plus but not required

Community Relations Director
Michiana Catholic Radio Station

Redeemer Radio, a non-profit, Catholic Radio Group is seeking a full-time Community Relations Director (CRD) for its new listener supported Catholic Radio Station coming to Michiana on 95.7 FM. The chosen candidate will work closely with the Michiana Station Manager, staff, volunteers and various committees to reach goals for the apostolate’s involvement with area parishes, the diocese, and the greater Michiana Catholic community.

The CRD must have have strong people skills and be able to recruit, train and lead volunteers to assist the apostolate in this ministry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promote and create local on-air announcements about parishes and Catholic apostolates free of charge
  • Relations with local Priests and Deacons for locally produced Readings and Reflections and future local programming
  • Provide direction for station events including: Sharathon (on-air fund drive), Catholic Schools Week and special Diocese local broadcasts
  • Write on-air announcements for both programs and promotional announcements

Requirements Include:

  • Practicing Catholic in full communion with the church
  • Four-year Bachelors degree in an aligned field of study
  • Demonstrated volunteer experience in parish and Catholic environment with a good network of readily established contacts
  • Obvious zeal for the Catholic faith and strong background in the teachings of the Church

Technical Manager
Michiana Catholic Radio Station

Redeemer Radio, a non-profit, Catholic Radio Group is seeking a full-time Technical Manager (TM) for its new listener supported Catholic Radio Station coming to Michiana on 95.7 FM. The chosen candidate will work closely with the Michiana Operations Manager, staff, volunteers in its advanced information systems environment. This position is a technically oriented  and combines the best practices of taions station operations and production.

Responsibilities include:

  • Production (live recording and editing) of long and short form on air messages
  • Production and broadcast of all live and remote broadcasts
  • Equipment maintenance of technical volunteers and contract engineer in telecommunications/data center enviornment

Requirements Include:

  • Practicing Catholic in full communion with the church
  • Four year bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Technology, broadcasting technology or related business experience equivalent
  • Demonstrated systems work experience

Preferences:

  • Broadcasting and or RF technical experience
  • Experience with both applications and data center operations
  • Organizational design, work process redesign, project management
  • Hands on technology experience including audio editing
