Historia Nostra
Historia Nostra (“Our History") is a series of one minute vignettes, stories of the rich Catholic heritage enjoyed by the Fort Wayne - South Bend Diocese. Historia Nostra began as part of the Fort Wayne South Bend Diocesan 150th anniversary celebration, and continues to bring rare and nearly-forgotten stories to the surface. Subject matter is plentiful in light of a heritage that traces its roots deep into North American history. Reaching all the way back to Quebec, Canada, and making its way through Maryland and Kentucky, fascinating stories emerge from the expansive territory that is the deposit of the faith in the Fort Wayne South Bend Diocese. Historia Nostra brings to light surprising connections, forgotten events, sacrifices, struggles, successes and the experiences of a faith-filled clergy, religious and laity on a journey to honor and glorify God.
